January 6th, Year 1
The collapse of a call centre building in central London today, which has killed at least 50, is being linked back to the unexplained earthquake that struck the region at New Year. The minor quake was not originally thought to have been strong enough to damage buildings. The collapse today however, happening in a matter of seconds, may have arisen from the presence of a previously unknown sink hole almost directly under the call centre. At least 170 people were within the building when it fell and rescuers are already warning it could be some days before the true death toll is known.
